Music
On Tuesday evening I was privileged to be at Christ Church where our A Level students gave stunning performances. The breadth, range and quality of the music on the evening was simply breathtaking. Thanks to all students for their efforts in producing such a memorable occasion.
On Monday evening we had the John Bell Lecture in which musician, Jez Lowe, was the special guest. I would like to say thank you to all students who attended and especially to the Prefects who were on duty on the evening. I am sure that you will have enjoyed the talk and the music. Please note that we intend to invite Jez back to do a full concert in the future.
Exams
Good luck to all students as they are preparing for their exams. This time is a critical period and I would offer these words of advice from a famous American, Benjamin Franklin, “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail”. Here is another piece of advice I heard recently “Never use a long word where a diminutive one will do just as well”.
